Oleg Kolimbet is a visual artist with a focus on photographic work and the photobook. Born in Bering Island (Kamchatka), Oleg currently lives in St.Petersburg, Russia. He studied German and English philology at St. Petersburg University and business administration at University of Walles. In 2000- 2022 he studied documentary and post-documentary photography at Docdocdoc school of modern photography in St.Petersburg.

His work explores personal and collective memory, as well address themes of changes in cultural landscape and the impact of these changes on people.
